A couple of weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of working with the duo behind Australian ethical fashion labels, Rant Clothing and Bestowed. We were working on some new images for their new baby – an online eco boutique aptly named Sustainable Fashion.
Based in Brisbane, Sarah and Jason work from their home studio and have a strong set of values centred around treating people, the planet and profit equally. The result is a beautiful attention to detail in all that they do and a confidence from their growing customer-base that anything they create is done with sustainability in mind.
I love the layering & simplicity
We were shooting their latest label, Bestowed, which is a 100% vegan label produced using pure organic cottons.
We had LOTS of garments to shoot for the launch of their new online store which has just gone live about a week ago: SustainableFashion.com.au. It was a fun shoot and I am now a die-hard fan of this easy-to-wear, breezy, ethical fashion label. Sarah and Jason very kindly gave me a few pieces to keep which I have been perfect with this dreadful heat that we are experiencing!
It was also great to work with photographer Todd Hunter McGaw. He was fun and relaxed to work with and we actually ended up running into each other at a girlfriend’s wedding a week or two later – small world! I remember her saying that the one thing she was splurging on was an amazing photographer and he and his wife really are a beautiful and talented team.
We had a bit of fun along the way..
