Imagine if, back when you were in your teens, you knew how to nourish your body. Really nourish it. Feed it beautiful, living foods that make your insides dance with joy, give you energy and make your skin glow. Feeding your body from a place of love, not self-loathing because it feels damn good. Intentionally taking care of yourself rather than reacting to a symptom when you’re already sick. Imagine if you knew a beautiful nourishing yoga practice to rejuvenate your body rather than pushing your body to the limits trying to force it to look a certain way. Imagine if you knew that your opinion of yourself is the only one that matters. And that more is not always better. That it’s OK to say, ‘no’ and nourish the relationship with yourself. What would that change for you?
I WISH I knew this stuff when I was a teen. It’s why I’m so passionate about creating workshops, courses and providing mentoring to the beautiful teens coming through now. And it’s why I’ve created our latest workshop – the Shine From Within NOURISH workshop.
It’s a 3 hour workshop suitable for girls aged 14-25 in Brisbane on December 16. Amazing speakers like inspiring young health coach Jessica Bean, myself and the incredibly soulful Tara Bliss will be presenting. We’ll introduce you to some practices to develop your sense of worth and how to truly nourish your body from a place of love (rather than dieting). We’ll introduce you to a whole bunch of delicious, healthy foods that provide energy and get that gorgeous skin of yours glowing (think food demos and tasting station) and we’ll finish the workshop with a beautiful set of movements on the yoga mat that will rejuvenate your energy and nourish your body in a gentle way. You’ll leave the workshop knowing much more about how to best take care of YOU!
I cannot wait! And the best part is, it’s more accessible than my other, more intensive courses and one-on-one mentoring. More girls can attend and it’s at an affordable price point – just $49. So if you know of a young girl in Brisbane (or outside of Brisbane – we’ve already got someone coming from Grafton and regularly get students from interstate) please let them know about it. The more girls we can reach, the better. It’s a scary world for a teen girl out there these days – I’m up for anything we can do to help them navigate their way.
